Aventura Nica 2010
During spring break 2010, the youth at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Almonte, will be helping out those in need by building a school in Leon, Nicaragua. The experience is being coordinated with a locally established foreign aid organization, SchoolBox©, which was founded by one of St. Paul’s’ own, Tom Affleck.
School Box endeavors to “Support the Right of every Child in Central America to a Basic Education” and puts this statement to work by enlisting the help of volunteers to travel to countries in Central America and construct classrooms where needed.
While the group can’t wait to go, it’s a good thing the departure date is set several months away because preparation is a necessity, in particular covering the cost of the trip.
